DWG 3 DLC Shoot Them Up

This weeks DWG 3 DLC brings up the 00 Cherudim Gundam and it's pilot Lock On Stratos.

Lockon Stratos, he is a Gundam Mesiter and actually the 2nd "Lockon Stratos", once again if you want to know his history check out: Lockon_Stratos. His stat's lean towards Shot with some defense, with little to no melee. His personal mission has him in a 3 way battle, where if you save the 3rd party they team up with you, there is some time limits involved with this, but they aren't to bad, once the 2nd half of the battle begins, Setsuna joins you and it is clear sailing. Once again as with all 00 voice actors his japanese voice is much better and less annoying than his English voice.

Now his Gundam the Cherudim Gundam, which is a total shot type. Seriously even the melee attacks where he attacks with a bladed underside of a pistol it still fires shots. Once you get to the 4th and 5th melee chain, the "bits" on the back come out and give you extra firing support. It's shot during melee attacks at the last one, you can hold down triangle and charge up his sniper rifle to a semi wide range long distance attack.  When using his SP attacks he enters Trans-Am, which increases speed and attack, like all the other 00 Gundams, the suits unique Equpiment is called, "Original Solar Furnace" which extends Trans AM lengh. His ground SP attack has his bits to a "all range style attack" then attacks with his sniper rifle. His air S{ is a rapid fire of the sniper rifle and the straight forward rapid firing of the bits. His team SP is the 8 bits combine and alunch arching blast attacks while the sniper rifle keeps shooting.  This suit is designed to rain down tons of shots while controlling crowds, it is not that fast, agile and can only take a medium grade pounding.

Over all this DLC impressed me a ton, I was more expecting the Arios DLC this week, but if you like this gundam..if you like the pilot..or if you just wanted more bit/funnel fun than you got with
Qubeley, the Nu Gundam, the Sazabi or the Strike freedom, then pick up this DLC and just have fun shooting the hell out of everyone.

Dragon Age 2 Item pack 2 DLC look into

Another set of Equipment Packs for Dragon Age 2 has come out today, lets look at each most note worthy pieces.

Rogue:
You now can dual wield with hand axes that mostly increase crit % along with a bow that ups attack and crit%.

The accessory you receive for Varric, Isabela, Sebastian all seem to up their chance for critical, and the damage that happens. A Long with improves magic and or physical damages, and the all improve on level ups

Warrior:
Weapons wise you get a 2 handed hammer that ups crit damage and normal damage. Also a hand axe that has +161 attack and +12% damage. The sheild improves defense +50 and 8% magic resistance.

Avelines new belt increases health, attack, magic resistance and she gets healed better. Fenris gets a ring that gives 1+ to all attributes, ups his HP, attack and physical damage %. Carver gets a amulet that gives him strength, health, attack, and attack speed.

Mage:
The one mage staff you get up all 5 types of elemental damage by 16% a great have for any wizard.

Merril's Amulet ups fire/cold/spirit damage by 13%, givers her 1+ magic, +54 attack and more mana regeneration. Behtany's ring gives her more magic stat, ups her spirit damage, and increases her heal powers.. Ander's belt ups his mana pool, mana regeneration rate, his elec/spirit damage and makes him a better healer

As with the previous item pack Dragon age 2 item pack 1, the armor is all pretty much useless in any post game content as you will be too strong, the weapons are all fantastic at any point in the game, along with the accessories your partners receive. So if you have beaten the game and the extra DLC don't invest in these, but if you are just starting over these packs like the previous one swill make things so much easier for you.

The why Ga*mestop doesn't my money post..

Note: all the * in the title are well for my own paranoid safty, anyway enjoy our program in progress.

Secondly before I go into my own personal reasons of why I don't give them my money and my gaming money mostly goes to Amazon. Watch this, it is called 'Zero Originality" kinda of a Whistle Blower/Deep Throat about Ga*mestop. I will wait for 90ish mins while you watch.

 Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3 Part 1    Episode 3 Part 2   Episode 3 Part 3

Okay you back with me..? Do you feel slightly more enlightened..? I did after I first watched it, anyway onto the reason that spurred me to write this.

So I saw on Amazon that No-More-Heroes-Paradise was being released on August 16th, so while I was killing time at the Mall yesterday I went to Ga*me stop and asked for it, while the guy kinda stared blanky at me then his computer, he said "Doesn't that come out on the 23rd..? and I replied "I think it comes out on the 16th"..so I left the store and checked the Amazon App on my EVO to make sure, and there it was ready to be bought and for 30$ instead of 40$, so I rushed home since the app is hard to order on. And placed my Amazon Prime order for it and I will have it tomorrow, while everyone else goes to Ga*mestop, probably will pay 40$ and I will have 4 days play on it than you.

Also they never seem to have an of the new deluxe editions of stuff come out, I was going to give them 100$ for the inFamous 2 bundle, so i called them and they didn't have it, I even went out of my way to rub it in their faces saying, "I was going to give you guys 100$ but I'll give it to Amazon instead". And they didn't have the Catherine Box set, but the only retail store I heard of was Frys, I'll get to them more in a few.

Now I work at a Babies R us, it is my job to know everything about the products I sell so I can give an informed opinion to the guests. Associates at Ga*mestop are mostly not gamers, as seen here Picking up DWG3, if he was a gamer he would of seen my bag and made a comment about it, or know anything about Games as I talk about them, this is sad on some many levels, so many rookie gamers out there who need guidance seeking advice on picking a game and get nothing.

Personally my biggest complaint, as shown in the video as is common knowledge is the "Used Pricing", seriously 5 bucks off for a used game that could of been used as a coaster is not a savings. And all their deep discounted games are games most people wouldn't want to play anyway, yes I have found a gem or 2 while hunting the used games, but I was a rookie net gamer than so I didn't know. You want used games, go to Amazon, just make sure like if you shop on Ebay that someone has a high positive score. Second biggest compliant is their trade in value system, but thats bad where ever you go, but at Ga*meStop you can only use their credit there for take a cut and get the cash, if your going to sell; Sell to Amazon

Now you may be asking, who should I shop from since Ga*mestop bought out all the cool little stores: SoftWare Etc, Funco Land(remember them, I do) and other little places,to expand their suck empire..? Here is your list:

Amazon: usually taking cuts on games, plus the Prime service..plus it is also easy to find used games, rare games, and when you trade in games to then you get credit that you can use anywhere on Amazon. trade in Halo and buy a microwave..pretty sweet deal.

Ebay: once again buy from someone with a high posistive score, if someone has a score of 12 with a 80% posistive rating, yah don't buy from that guy, but you can deals and crazy things there.

Frys: these guys have everything, kinda harder to find slightly older games, but they have a ton of deluxe sets, guides, and every cool accessory that you can ever find.

BestBuy/FYE/Target/Toysrus/Sears: these guys are lumped together since they all do the same thing, get in, get out..they might discount their stuff quicker at a better rate. And you have  abetter chance of being helped by a gamer who has a clue.

If you have any other ideas, put them down in the comments, lets spread the world.

So as you can see, it baffles me why people still shop at Ga*mestop, maybe it's convince, maybe it's instant gratification. But with smart phones you don't need that anymore, get an amazon or ebay app and your real. Let's all wake up and stop shopping their and maybe just maybe we can help change their practices some, or not..but I felt this had to be let out.

Split Reason, gaming and geeky gear abound

So I ventured over to Split Reason, which is full of Gamer, geeky shirts that are just so stylish. My first one I got is It's Always Stars t-shirt which is based off of this video review from Zero Punctuation Super-Mario-Galaxy.

Not the best quality in the world, but here is the shirt in action. This is a 2X, and it fits very well, it's also high quality stitching.

I also am going to try to take a higher quality of this picture because if you send a picture of you wearing Split Reason shirt to them, you get a One Time 10$ credit to their store!! Which is sweet. The one I plan to get when I get a better picture is, Press X Not to Die T-Shirt , which makes fun of every quick time event ever.

Split Reason has not only men/women's shirts it also have buttons, stickers, coffee mugs. It has so much cool stuff!! Even has Wall Papers!!

My only real complaint from Split Reason is the killer shipping rates, but it's from Canada so I understand the high shipping rates, doesnt mean that it doesn't suck.

So trust me, you want some awesome gamer swag, check Split reason Out.

New DWG 3 DLC, all range style

So the new DWG 3 DLC came out today for another 6$ today we get Marida Cruz and her mobile suit the NZ-666 Kshatriya. In my previous DWG 3 post, i said things i were corrected on later. Other pilots can pilot the DLC suits and the DLC pilots can be used as operators.

Mardia Cruz is from the series Gundam Unicorn where is sided with the Neo Zeon remnants and is a secondary bad character. I am not reall going into her role in the Anime, for that you can go here: Marida_Cruz .  Her stats give her a balance of Melee and Ranged shot with a slight favor to ranged. He personal mission has her fighting the Piolt of the Unicorn Gundam Banagher_Links. After achieving all the missions it turns into a 1 on 1 battle. When you are victorious she become available to be a new type to piloot new type suits, and a operator.

Her suit is the NZ-666 Kshatriya which is like a super powerful upgraded Quebeley. It uses beam sabers for it's attacks, but it's ranged attacks are where the power in this suit truly comes from. It uses it funnels in may types of ways, for single powerful attacks, all ranged attacks. It also uses the sabers and funnels in a combo attack to throw the opponent in the air.. For the final of its attacks it throws up all 4 of it's "fins" and launches a close range but powerful arcing blast attack. When you get the suit it comes with it's own personal skill already which increases defense over 250 shot down.  For it's ground SP attack it charges forward with its funnels hitting before the suit rams into them.  For it's aerial SP attack, it starts firing a straight shot beam..then the beam expands about 3 times it's size. The suit is not very fast or mobile given it's size but it can dash for a long time given it's high hustler rate. It's defenses leaves one to always be on the offensive, but given the suit has all range attacks it makes sense why defense would be low.

All in all, I was more impressed with this DLC then the previous one Mr.Bushido/Susanowo DLC. But my opinion is slightly biased since I seem to favor long range style suits over melee types. So I think it's better while other's might disagree, tell me what you think...? I enjoyed it, i think you will to melee fan or not, it was worth the 6$.

Can't wait till the next DLC, more 00 Gundams.

Back To The Future The Game a look back or forward..

"Aren't Time Paradoxes Fun"-Legend of Zelda OoT Guide.  That line pretty much somes up the whole Back to the Future franchise.

This game takes place after the 3rd movie. It finds Doc's house being sold off since he has been missing for months and the DeLorean just reappearing out of the blue. This sends Marty back to 1931 to save current Doc and his younger self.  Giving away a story explanation would ruin it for you..and make my head hurt trying top write it.

So lets look at more of the specs.  The game is 5 episodes long and will cost 20$ at least on the PSN, reader feel free to leave price comments for Steam/Xbox/Ipad. WHen I bought it i spent 20$ and got the rest for free as they all came out, but since they are out now you can just get them all at once.

This game is a point and click adventure style game, you walk Marty around finding out clues, getting items, solving puzzles all to help save Doc, the Past and the Future. The controls are basic just sometimes the camer whips you in a weird angle and your now walking the wrong way, or the little cursor thing won't let you pick the item you want. Which can get overly frustrating but the game allows for that in most all cases giving you infinite time and not wrong happening if you select the wrong item, this is true expect for 1 puzzle in Episode 1..

Play time for each will vary between 1:30 hrs and 2:30 depending on speed in figuring out puzzles and if you what to trohpy hunt or not.  Each Episode is separate in the trophies with 1 gold 3-5 silvers and 5-9 bronze, there is no Platinum bonus for finding all of them.  Speaking of them, some of them are very easily missed, or you have do a puzzle a certain way or perfectly. I personally used PS3 Trophies to help me when I was lost.

To me the biggest deal of this game is they got the core of the orgional cast to do it. Christopher Lloyd as Doc, New comer AJ LoCascio as Marty, who seriously pull's it off perfectly never would of known other wise, even Micheal J Fox came back and did some voices in episode 5!!  To me this was what allowed the game to flow and be so greatly well liked.

The ended the game like they did the movies, with a, "Well look at all the crazieness", so they could do another set of games or they could not, me I hope they do, I loved playing all of these.

Over all the game touched and tugged on my nostalgia heart strings. To me the puzzles were sometimes hard, even if they gave you hints to help you along. It was a truely fun game and worth the money at 20$. If you loved the series go grab the game, if you like point and click adventures still buy the game, then watch the movies

Your consoles are mocking you

This is something funny I thought about as I was ignoring E3 so it's a little late but some comedy and truth will be there no matter what. Trust me your console's are mocking you in one way or another, this will touch on portable as well. so lets break these down.

Sony:
Playstation 3: What you own me without an HD TV..? -chuckles- thats fine but I am going to cut the edges of the game off so be prepared to die, from the now hidden sniper.
PSP: the Vita was announced..no one cares about me much any more. Also you bought a Go why..? Did you enjoy re-buying all your games..??

Microsoft:
X-box: Wait you don't own a connect!!??!! Why arew you just stupid just think of all the fun you can have jumping around your room like an idiot. What your have a leg or back issues, then just die since you can't enjoy me. Also I have voice support, watch me kill you as you tell your mom you want lunch.
Portable: hahahaha you can't take a connect on the go..dumb ass.. =P

Nintendo:
Wii: do you have kids..? No.. Do you have 3 other friends..? No.. Then why did you buy me??!!?? To play old school downloads games..You know you can just emulate those on the pc you have already..

WiiU: I have a big brick controller..but only one of it can be used at a time..so remember to beat up your friends so you can use it..

3DS: Hi I price dropped in under 6months by A LOT!! Since my 3d hurts peoples eye and I had shitty launch titles..I should of launched with Ocrina of Time, I know that no. Please love me..please...

See your consoles are all laughing at you or just depressed..so go smack your console or give them a hug.

Dragon Age 2 Legacy DLC and Class Equipment Packs

SO I bought the new DA 2 DLC and equipment stuff. So lets go into it some, first the equipment packs.

There are 3 Equipment packs, one for each class, they give a lot of high powered weapons and armor plus some accessories for your team mates.

The Good:
Getting free stuff for your team always fun. Weapons and Accesorites to help them and help you.

The Bad:
All the armor yu get is of course bound to you, now the armor is great but only really good if you are just starting out, if you have beaten the game, more than likely the armor won't help you at all. And it doesn't even sell for much either.

Overall take:
If your starting the game brand new or just trying again as a different class but them all or at least for the class your going to be. There is a price cut if you buy all of them at the same time vs individually. But if your beaten the game and just playing again for more DLC, not worth your cash.

So the Legacy DLC takes place outside of Kirkwall, now where in the story with the Champion does it take place, just from beating it already, it loks like it takes placebefore the nd of the game, since that Seeker Girl is still talking to Varric. Look into it more and get tips for playing here Legacy Wiki

While wandering around you learn some about Varrick, so bring him along. And since the mission is about your Family bring either your brother or sister along, trust me if you do you will get a bronze trophy at the end.

While going along you do some other quests giving you a deeper understanding of what the hell you are doing.

Weapons down there aren't to impressive even more lack luster if you got the Equipment Packs. Expect the quest item called "Hawke's Key" which as you progress you can add 3 different stat mods to it from elemental damage, to draining hp/mp to increasing speed and crit. I say speed and crit because I did it as a Rogue.  There is also a Grey Warden Scout armor set down there, that gives a total set bonus, but I couldn't find a part, its possible the set is better than the "Champion" armor set, but the Champion armor set just looks at cooler in my opinion.

If you miss anything Weapons..Quests..Codex entries..you can't go back afterwards since the area kinda collapses..SO be anal when hunting around.

Well it was a good 4 hours spent on it, I just think it was a little over priced at $10, should of been like 7$. But I highly recommend it if you love this game.

Escapeing the NightMare for now

SO I am on my 2nd full run through of Catherine, and I think I am going to take a break from it. Not that it is a bad game but that I guess I played to much to close to fast and playing the last part over and over to get 4 of the endings. I guess that I am suffering a little bit of burn out.

So I am going to play the last episode of the Back to the Future game and the new DLC from Dragon Age 2.

SO for now I have escape the Nightmare, but I know I will sink back into them again.

DWG 3 DLC Samauri Style

So yesterday Dyntasy Warrior Gundam 3 DLC has finally come out. So lets go into it some. There are 6 missions each are 1$, which I am not going into really here since I didn't buy and download those. I am going into the other DLC which is the Mr.Bushido/Susanowo DLC. I am just going over what they do in the game, not over what they do in the Anime.

Mr.Bushido is from the 2nd Season of 00 Gundam also known as Graham Aker.

When you download the DLC, his base stats seem to favor Melee/Shot and not really defense, which makes sense given that his suit does the same. When you go to the mission screen he doesn't have access to any of the story meetings, but access to everything else including his own personal mission. After he finishes his personal he become a Newtype and can play Newtype specific suits.
Now you can play as him for the Online play but the downside is that you can not select him as a Partner or as an Operator for any of the other characters, this kinda bums me out.  Also because of this whenever I play as him I use the Japanese voice setting, since his dub voice bugs me.

Now Mr.Bushido Mobile Suit is the Susanowo, a Melee type suit with very little long range attacks.

Susanowo's long range attacks only consits of a thrown beam charkam. A huge charged shot when using the long range button on the 5th part of the attack combo, and a triple fire huge shot when doing air born Special attack. But the rest of the suits attacks are high speed melee, even the base long range attack is a melee strike, it's a quick draw samauri style attack.

When using the special attack, like all of the other 00 Gundams, it enters a state called "Trans-Am", where speed and attack greatly increased, no attack changes happen then are just stronger and you move faster.

The downside to getting this suit DLC is that you can not purchase a license for it so other pilots can use it, which is so much of a downer.

Overall my take on the DLC is neutral at best, I bought it because I love the game and I love the series. I just wish he could be used as a support character and the suit playable by other characters. So at 6$ i feel kinda ripped off, this would of been better at a 4$ price tag
